Itinerary

Departure from Montalcino, passing through the panoramic Gambocci road to Torrenieri. Descent to the famous Cypresses of Val d'Orcia and climb back to Montalcino passing through the Brunello vineyards with a stop at a winery.

THE ABBEY TOUR - ½ day

Itinerary

Departure from the shop and descent to Sant'Angelo in Colle, the start of one of the most picturesque dirt roads arriving at the village of Castelnuovo and the Abbey of Sant'Antimo. Stop at the winery for Brunello di Montalcino tasting and uphill return to Montalcino.

Itinerary

Departure from Montalcino and descent to the old railway on the Asso river and climb up to Vignoni Alto. Then descent to the spa village of Bagno Vignoni. From here you climb up to San Quirico d'Orcia and then along the Cassia Vecchia, a beautiful panoramic road, you arrive at the winery where we will stop for lunch and tasting of Brunello di Montalcino wine. From here, the last 10 km to return to Montalcino along one of the most beautiful white roads in the area.

THE BRUNELLO VINEYARDS TOUR - full day

Length: 45 Km  |  Elevation gain: 1150 meters |  Difficulty level: Medium
Route type: 60% gravel road - 40% asphalt

Itinerary

Departure from Montalcino and descent through the vineyards passing through the Frescobaldi and Banfi properties arriving at the southern end of the municipality and then climbing back up on a dirt road towards Sant'Angelo in Colle and then again towards Castelnuovo dell'Abate where we will stop for a visit to a Brunello winery for tasting and lunch. Climb back towards Montalcino for the last 9 km of riding.
