Depart from Montalcino, riding along the scenic Strada dei Gambocci to Torrenieri. Descend to the famous Val d’Orcia cypresses and climb back to Montalcino through Brunello vineyards, including a winery stop.

THE ABBEY TOUR

Depart from the shop and descend to Sant’Angelo in Colle, starting one of the most picturesque gravel roads leading to the village of Castelnuovo and the Abbey of Sant’Antimo. Stop at a winery for a Brunello di Montalcino tasting before the climb back to Montalcino.

HOT SPRINGS TOUR

Depart from Montalcino and descend to the old railway on the Asso river, then climb up to Vignoni Alto. Next, descend to the thermal village of Bagno Vignoni. From here, climb back up to San Quirico d’Orcia and follow the Cassia Vecchia—a beautiful panoramic road—to the winery where we’ll stop for lunch and Brunello di Montalcino tasting. Finally, the last 10 km back to Montalcino along one of the area’s most beautiful white roads.

BRUNELLO VINEYARDS TOUR

Duration: 1 day

Distance: 50 km

Difficulty: MODERATE

Elevation gain: 1,150 meters

Depart from Montalcino and descend through the vineyards, passing the Frescobaldi and Banfi estates to reach the southern edge of the municipality. Climb back up a white road toward Sant’Angelo in Colle and then toward Castelnuovo dell’Abate, where we’ll stop at a Brunello winery for a tasting and lunch. Finish with the final 9 km ride back up to Montalcino.
